Product Development Technologist

About the Role

iO Associates, a leading food manufacturing company based in High Wycombe, is seeking a Product Development Technologist to join their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the product development team in managing and creating product options from marketing briefs.
  • Develop small design projects, typically flavour variations.
  • Plan, implement, and review product development trials at various scales.
  • Present samples to marketing and translate feedback into recipe and/or process developments.
  • Produce draft product costs for comparative purposes.
  • Raise technical or project-related issues that may impact quality, cost, or time of delivery with your line manager.
Requirements
  • University degree in Food Science/Technology.
  • Understanding of ingredients, creative recipe development, and bench-scale techniques.
  • Proven record of trial planning, execution, and review.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively and prioritize tasks in a timely manner.
  • Courage to challenge and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of health & safety requirements.
  • Strong understanding of food legislation.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
