Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant to join our team at Watermeadow Grange in Topsham, Exeter. As a key member of our care home team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all areas of the home are clean and safe for residents and staff.
  • Manage and maintain the laundry facilities, including washing, drying, and ironing.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining the home's furnishings, equipment, and linen.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to provide a high-quality service to residents.

Requirements:

  • Physically and medically able to carry out duties and responsibilities with or without assistive aids.
  • Compassionate and caring nature.
  • Team player, self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and adaptable.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Previous housekeeping/laundry experience in a residential care setting.
