We are a well-established and high-performing team looking after the interests of Cheshire Constabulary and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service. We are excited to offer a temporary opportunity for a lawyer with specialisms in any of the following areas of the law:
- Civil litigation
- Private prosecutions
Management experience is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will supervise 1 or 2 units of lawyers and support staff and would be appointed as Deputy Head of Legal or Principal Lawyer.
The salary for this role is up to \u00a367,779 and \u00a059,586 respectively.
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have 5 years post-qualification experience in a policing, criminal justice, or regulatory legal environment. They must also have effectiveness in a leadership role, including management of staff and resources, and knowledge and experience of the law and procedures in four or more of the following areas:
- Civil litigation
- Employment law
- Coronial law
- An understanding of corporate governance structures in either public or private sector
