Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team and ensure our projects meet or exceed environmental regulations and standards. The successful candidate will play a vital role in integrating environmental considerations into all aspects of Eco Careers LTD. operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Compliance: Be aware of environmental legislation and work as part of the team to ensure compliance.
  • Incident Reporting: Assist with reporting environmental incidents and instigate any corrective actions required.
  • Environmental Data Management: Assist with collecting, processing, and interpreting environmental data to support Eco Careers LTD.'s Carbon reduction plan and monthly environmental reporting.
  • Site Inspections: Undertake Environmental Site inspections, highlighting any bad and good practice to the relevant teams and Environmental Manager.
  • Training and Development: Help co-ordinate and maintain the environmental training programme.
  • Project Implementation: Assist with the implementation of the project environmental plans and contract requirements on various Eco Careers LTD. projects.
  • Documentation Review: Assist with reviewing and updating Environmental compliance documentation such as project environmental plans and Work Package Plans.
  • Ecological Requirements: Assist with project ecological requirements and seek to gain experience/training in the ecology field.
  • Client Contract Requirements: Assist with meeting client environmental contract requirements, project objectives, and business goals.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience as an Environmental Sustainability Specialist within the construction industry is desirable.
  • Qualifications: Degree in Ecology/Environmental Science or relevant (environmental related) subject is required.
  • Professional Membership: IEMA membership will be an advantage.
