Correctional Program Lead

Shannon Trust is seeking a Correctional Program Lead to join their team at HMP Swinfen Hall. As a key member of the prison delivery department, this role will focus on leading the development and implementation of peer-led learning programs, with the aim of improving literacy levels among prisoners.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in prison settings, possess excellent relationship-building skills, and demonstrate resilience, determination, and a problem-solving approach. This prison-based role comes with a competitive salary of £16,550 per annum (equivalent to £27,584 FTE) and benefits including a company pension scheme contribution of up to 5%, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, life insurance, paid volunteering days, and an Employee Assistance Programme.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering and developing reading and numeracy programs, collaborating closely with prison staff, volunteers, and mentors. Shannon Trust values diversity and welcomes applications from individuals with lived experience of the criminal justice system. The role requires prison security clearance, which will be assessed prior to employment.
