Lockton is seeking an experienced Commercial Broker to join our growing UK Wholesale division in Manchester.

As a leading independent insurance broker, Lockton has a long history of helping clients achieve their business objectives.

We are looking for a highly skilled Commercial Broker to manage a panel of Producing Brokers, build relationships, and provide day-to-day servicing of an existing portfolio of policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a panel of Producing Brokers and be the main point of contact for day-to-day queries
  • Effective and timely day-to-day servicing of an existing portfolio of policies for this panel of producing brokers
  • Collaborate with the Placement Team to obtain terms for new enquires and renewals requiring rebroke
  • Dealing with up to 30 renewals per month
  • Handling the following lines of business: Commercial Combined, Combined Liability, Professional Indemnity, Contractors All Risks
  • Regular direct contact with our UK Brokers
  • Identifying opportunities for business development and new enquiries
  • Collaborating with Operational Excellence team to ensure timely documentation issue, premium collection and allocation to insurers

Requirements:

  • Experience in Commercial Combined/ Combined Liability broking or underwriting
  • Experience in London Market placements or wholesale broking a huge advantage
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively and independently whilst prioritising your workload
  • An awareness of regulatory controls and a familiarity with bespoke IT programs
