Art Teacher / Art ECT Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and talented Art Teacher / Art ECT to join our expanding Art Department in a reputable Secondary School in the Borough of Westminster.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential in the visual arts, while working collaboratively with a team of experienced Art Teachers.

As an Art Teacher / Art ECT, you will have the opportunity to take on a TLR such as KS3 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibility, and more. Newly Qualified Art Teachers will be enrolled onto the School's bespoke ECT induction program, providing a comprehensive support system for their professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Art and Design to students at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop the Art Department's curriculum and resources
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote the arts and cultural enrichment
Requirements:
  • UK QTS or in the process of gaining
  • Strong academic record, including a degree in a relevant subject
  • Ability to meet the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
