About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Bridgwater Dairy team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective front-line reactive maintenance, identifying root causes of equipment failures, and implementing cost-effective improvements to site assets and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective handover of information across shifts
  • Use PMS to support prioritization and problem-solving (RCFA)
  • Diagnose faults and test, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Observe, recognize, and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure and provide CMMS data
  • Contact OEMs and other suppliers for technical support as needed and expedite parts when not available on site
  • Lead shift-based problem-solving where corrective actions are not clear
  • Work as ONE TEAM with First Line Response Technicians
  • Coach operators with asset care tasks
  • Identify and implement improvements
  • Identify life cycle issues and raise these with possible recommendations
  • Use and support simple 5WHY OE techniques/RCA techniques through to 100-year fixes
  • Use and support departmental 5S programs for workshops and stores
Requirements
  • Recognized apprenticeship
  • Experience within maintenance
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • ONC/HNC
  • Electrical qualification
  • Multiskilled engineer experience
