About the Position

We are seeking an Agricultural Economy Expert to join our Land Economy and Environment Research Group in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will explore agricultural and rural economies, including low carbon rural economy, regional economic development, spatial development and planning, and socio-economic trends in rural and regional areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement research strategies for the Scottish Government
  • Conduct and manage contract research projects
  • Engage in Knowledge Exchange through the Rural Policy Centre

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a PhD and several years of research experience in rural/regional economics. They should be able to demonstrate an ability to win research funding and present information to various audiences.

Salary

An estimated salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum reflects the complexity of this role and the expertise required.
