Our client is seeking a skilled Expeditor to join an exciting project in Somerset. To be successful in this role, you will need experience as a on-site Expeditor and be able to commute to Somerset five days a week.

Job Description:
As Expeditor, you will be responsible for progressing and managing the delivery of all assigned project equipment and materials, including all associated documentation, inline with project timescales.

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Interfacing with suppliers for progressing materials, equipment and documentation;
• Interface with engineering and construction for progressing materials, equipment and documentation;
• Achieving delivery of equipment, materials and documentation on time;
• Liaising effectively and fostering relationships with suppliers and clients;
• Liaison with other disciplines with respect to materials and equipment items to ensure on-time deliveries;
• Closing out purchase orders, files and archiving documents;
• Building good relations within Contracts & Procurement and third party suppliers;
• Coordination and work closely with other appointed expeditors;
• Work closely with Materials Controllers regarding receipts at project warehouse;
• Production and maintenance of expediting reports and filing system (both hard copy and electronic);
• Assisting in the PO close out process;
• Providing support and technical assistance to other members of the team in the use of the procurement system;
• Supporting Accounts/Commercial personnel in verifying and/or resolving queries on supplier invoices;

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have previous expediting experience, on site.
