Job Title: Mechanical Support Specialist

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy rail company as a Mechanical Support Specialist within rolling stock engineering. The role is temporary to permanent, with full training provided internally.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the repair, upgrade, and reactive maintenance of an operational fleet of rail vehicles. This includes carrying out basic maintenance and repair tasks alongside the production team and ensuring that service engineers have the necessary support to complete their work.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carry out engineering tasks as directed by the team.
  • FOLLOW all necessary depot health and safety requirements.
  • FOLLOW all engineering quality standards of work and maintain good reporting of asset assessment, work completed, and materials used as requested.
  • Maintain good communication with production team members to ensure all work is completed and they are fully supported.
