Quality Assurance Engineer Opportunity

Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing are partnering with a leading business to find a Quality Assurance Engineer to work at their manufacturing facility near Chesterfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System, leading internal audits, and identifying areas for improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional looking to develop their skills in a challenging role. The Quality Assurance Engineer will work closely with the senior operations team, managing the internal and external non-conformance reporting system, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, review, and maintain AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit systems and monitor subcontractor performance.
  • Conduct internal and external audits as required.
  • Manage, review, and maintain specifications and certifications.
  • Deputize for the Quality Manager in their absence.
  • Represent the Quality Team at supplier/customer external meetings.
  • Manage internal and external non-conformance reporting systems, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of AS9100 is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a quality-focused role with previous experience of quality systems.
  • Audit and audit management experience (ISO 9001 lead auditor preferred but not essential).
  • Working knowledge of quality tools (such as APQP, FMEA, 6 Sigma, 8D, 5 Why).
