As a Software Quality Assurance Specialist at Aptean, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of our software applications. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough testing to identify and document defects, working closely with the development team to understand project requirements and ensure that all software products meet the established quality standards and customer expectations.

About the Role:
  • Plan and deliver testing for releases and projects, ensuring a smooth transition to live environments.
  • Clearly identify defects and provide step-by-step instructions for reproduction.
  • Design and prepare manual test scripts to ensure comprehensive testing.
  • Conduct functional and integration tests, analyzing results and providing feedback to the development team.
  • Act as a liaison between the project manager and development team for all test-related artifacts.
  • Collaborate with the team, contributing ideas and suggestions in a clear and constructive manner.
  • Take ownership of quality and project success, actively engaging in tasks with a hands-on approach.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure quality and effective communication between customers and developers.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of SQL, including creating queries and table joins.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively report and document defects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in software quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
