Role Overview

MTL Advanced Ltd is seeking an experienced Robotics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for implementing and optimizing our robotic welding machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme, operate and maintain robotic welding machines
  • Inspect and ensure weld quality
  • Train and assist operators in robotic welding
  • Robot development and offline programming
  • Collaborate with departments to understand and define programming requirements
  • Develop robot programs using native programming languages
  • Test and validate robot programmes to ensure proper functionality and performance
  • Identify and resolve programming issues, including de-bugging and optimisation
  • Document programming processes, procedures, and changes for reference and training purposes

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of robotics principles, kinematics, and dynamics for efficient programming and troubleshooting
  • A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
  • Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
