Lead Family Support Worker - Residential Assessment Centre

Brook Street Social Care NMR is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our residential assessment centre in Harlow, Essex. As a respected provider of independent parenting assessments, we offer a supportive environment that prioritises family wellbeing and safety.

About the Job:

  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to deliver high-quality care and guidance to families.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of family assessments, documentation, and adherence to OFSTED guidelines.
  • Liaise with social workers, attend meetings, and supervise night staff.
  • Conduct regular audits, health & safety checks, and incident reporting.
  • Participate in an on-call rota and maintain records as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve family engagement and participation.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of family assessments, documentation (placement plans, reports, chronologies).
  • Liaise with social workers, attend meetings, and supervise night staff.
  • Conduct medication audits, health & safety checks, and incident reporting.
  • Partake in on-call rota and maintain OFSTED notifications as required.

Requirements:

  • A motivated, adaptable, and resilient individual with strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in family support, social care, or similar fields.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • IT literate, with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Flexible and willing to work shifts.
  • Full UK driving license and business insurance for your vehicle.
  • 1 year of Team Leader experience and Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care are essential.
  • DBS certification is preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations and support both staff and residents.

Salary: The salary range for this role is £45,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
