Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of Contract Management to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our Contract Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service from our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Supplier Relationship Management Framework: Design and implement a comprehensive framework for managing supplier relationships, ensuring that our suppliers meet the high standards expected of them.
  • Lead Contract Management Team: Manage a team of Contract Managers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and resources needed to deliver excellent results.
  • Negotiate and Establish Contractual Arrangements: Negotiate and establish new contractual arrangements with suppliers, ensuring that they meet our business needs and provide value to our customers.
  • Monitor and Review Supplier Performance: Monitor and review supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Extract Additional Value from Suppliers: Work with suppliers to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, ensuring that we maximize the value we receive from our suppliers.
  • Deliver Efficiency and Value: Implement processes and procedures to ensure that our suppliers deliver efficient and effective services, meeting the needs of our customers.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Contract Management: Proven experience in contract management, with a strong understanding of supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of Contract Managers.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the affordable housing sector and the challenges faced by our customers.
