As a Business IT Developer, you will be responsible for administering and managing a Microsoft SharePoint site with multiple subsites and Microsoft PowerBI server. You will also develop bespoke complex solutions using SharePoint and basic programming in JavaScript for customers.

Additionally, you will develop Business Analytics solutions for communicating data to a wider audience. You will use digitalisation methods to streamline pre-existing solutions in the business and identify areas for improvement using up-to-date reporting and analytics techniques.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering and managing a Microsoft SharePoint site with multiple subsites and Microsoft PowerBI server
  • Developing bespoke complex solutions using SharePoint and basic programming in JavaScript for customers
  • Developing Business Analytics solutions for communicating data to a wider audience
  • Using digitalisation methods to streamline pre-existing solutions in the business
  • Identifying areas for improvement using up-to-date reporting and analytics techniques

Requirements include:

  • Studying towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Media and IT or other relevant field and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above
  • An understanding and interest in business processes and the IT systems used to manage data
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High intrinsic motivation, creativity, project management skills and entrepreneur thinking
  • Programming language skills in one or more of the following (e.g. Python, Java, C#, C++, R, HTML)
  • Experience with data visualisation tools, preferably PowerBI
  • Understanding of Oracle / SQL databases

We offer a competitive annual salary of £24,950, 26 days holiday per annum (pro rata to your contract) and an attractive pension scheme. Contracted working hours are 39 hours a week, with a half day on a Friday, helping you develop a fulfilling work-life balance.
