About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of different schools and with children of different ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the pupils in their education
  • Support and manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Work with the class teacher to implement academic or social interventions
  • Support and deliver creative and innovative lessons
  • Use formative and summative assessment
  • Support with or assess phonics following the school's chosen program
  • Promote independence with life skills
  • Provide an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children or vulnerable adults
  • Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
  • A fully checkable work history
  • A driving license or be willing to use public transport
  • Good mental and physical health and resilience
  • Ability to work with vulnerable and challenging pupils

What We Offer:

We will provide you with a Level 2 Teaching Assistant course, free for individuals with the right experience. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of different schools and with children of different ages and abilities.
