About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing expert psychological therapy services to individuals experiencing symptoms of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of clients referred to our service, utilizing a range of assessment tools and techniques.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, incorporating trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, NET, and compassion-focused therapy, in both individual and group formats.
  • Provide specialist consultation and liaison with multidisciplinary mental health staff, IAPT clinicians, and other carers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver training programs, promoting best practices in trauma-informed care.
  • Contribute to service development, research, and evaluation initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of care and quality improvement.
Requirements
  • Hold a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychology qualification and current registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Experience working with individuals with PTSD and Complex PTSD, utilizing evidence-based therapies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and develop informed treatment plans.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a high level of enthusiasm and motivation for working with individuals with trauma-related psychological distress.
