Job Title: Specialist Adult Speech Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a Specialist Adult Speech Therapist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with adults with progressive problems, including Parkinson's Disease, dementia, and stroke.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will hold a caseload of diverse clients with progressive problems, including Parkinson's, dementia, MND, and stroke. You will work in a community-based setting, conducting regular clinics, outpatients, care home, and residential visits to assess, treat, and review clients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist assessment, differential diagnosis, and treatment of swallowing and communication difficulties in the community setting.
  • Oversee the PD service, developing evidence-based pathways and treatment options.
  • Participate in service development and be an effective member of the SLT team.
  • Provide clinical supervision to other members of our SLT team and students.
  • Design and deliver training to other members of the MDT as required.
Requirements:
  • Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Have previous experience working with adults.
  • Hold a full UK driving license with access to a vehicle.
