About the Role

As a Project Permitting Specialist in Jacobs' esteemed team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient commissioning of nuclear plants. This is an exceptional opportunity to utilize your electrical bias expertise and contribute to the success of our high-profile projects.

The Box Encapsulation Plant project, one of the most significant undertakings at the Sellafield Site, requires your specialized skills to design and deliver a plant that meets the Employer's needs and stakeholders' expectations. Your primary responsibilities will include functioning as part of a multi-disciplined team, preparing Safe Systems of Work, and ensuring all Permit Office activities are conducted in accordance with site licence, environmental, regulatory, and industry requirements.

Your Impact

You will be responsible for advising and supporting the Permit Office Manager in confirming that plant and equipment can be safely energized to carry out meaningful testing. This role demands a proactive and balanced approach to safety, prioritizing the optimization of Permit Office safety during commissioning. You will also maintain all documentation associated with Permit Office activities, ensuring that all test equipment is calibrated and certified.

What You'll Need
  • An electrical bias required.
  • An appropriate technical qualification (C&G, ONC, HNC) in an engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience as a Permit Engineer in the commissioning of nuclear or similar plants.
  • The ability to obtain BC is essential for this role.
  • Competence in the use of standard Microsoft IT packages, e.g., Word and Excel.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
