Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop the PE department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement an innovative and balanced PE curriculum that promotes physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure all students achieve their potential.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities, clubs, and school teams.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Manage departmental resources, including equipment and facilities, to support effective teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the overall leadership and management of the school.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching PE at the secondary school level, with a track record of outstanding results.
- Demonstrable leadership experience within an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and current educational best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
