We operate three specialised care centres in West Norwood, Purley, and Banstead, all providing care for people with complex neurological and respiratory conditions.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Fairlie Healthcare. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our care centres, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks, including cleaning bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, clinical rooms, sluice rooms, and therapy rooms.
  • Ensure that all cleaning work is carried out to a high standard, adhering to quality standards and regulations.
  • Work effectively within the Housekeeping Team and uphold the home's core values.
  • Coordinate with management and staff to deal with unexpected cleaning tasks within the home.
  • Store cleaning materials correctly and maintain all equipment in good working order.
  • Carry out all safety measures as required, including health and safety, safeguarding of vulnerable adults, infection prevention and control, mental capacity act, manual handling, gold standards framework, first aid, CPR, COSH, food hygiene, core values, values framework, equality, diversity, and inclusion, information governance, and fire safety.

Requirements

  • You must have full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
  • No specific qualifications are needed for this role, although some experience of cleaning and working within a laundry environment is beneficial.
  • Being consistent, reliable, and hard working with the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Full training from Housekeeping will be given to the successful candidate to ensure that you have all the relevant material to allow you to carry out your duties successfully.
