About the Role

The Gallagher Charity and Healthcare Division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charity Underwriting Director to lead and develop our charity scheme. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for our relationship with our scheme insurer partner, driving growth, and ensuring the facility is highly regarded by both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the charity scheme, driving growth and profitability
  • Manage the relationship with our scheme insurer partner, ensuring a strong and collaborative partnership
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet the needs of voluntary sector organisations
  • Oversee the underwriting and management team, providing guidance and support to ensure operational excellence
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive business growth and development
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled individual with a strong background in underwriting, preferably with ACII qualification or equivalent. You will have a comprehensive knowledge of general insurance products and services, including underlying legal principles and practices. You will also have experience in managing teams and leading business development initiatives.
