We are seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our team at Victoria Central Hospital. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will work under the supervision of the Cleaning Supervisor to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of designated areas within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuuming, and emptying litter bins, as well as polishing and dusting fixtures and fittings.
- Moving items of furniture as required.
- Ensuring all duties are carried out in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Relieving and assisting in other establishments as needed.
- Responding to accidents, fires, losses, thefts, and other irregularities, and completing necessary reports.
- Attending meetings as requested.
- Adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Pursuing personal development and skills necessary for effective role performance.
- Complying with company rules, policies, and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
We are looking for an individual with experience in a similar role, who is comfortable working as part of a busy team. Excellent customer service skills and confidence in communicating with clients, patients, and colleagues are essential.
