A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Indirect Category Buyer to join Butler Ross, a well-established manufacturing organisation based in the North of England. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing indirect goods and services, including services, maintenance, and HR, and will play a key role in the purchasing team.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparing, executing, and evaluating tenders for indirect goods and services
- Negotiating contracts and driving their implementation locally
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies for local categories
- Managing supplier relationships and conducting performance reviews
- Controlling spending and fostering the use of standard tools and processes in the region
- Ensuring the purchasing needs of technical goods and services are met
- Developing and maintaining close and productive relationships with key stakeholders
- A professional qualification in purchasing, such as CIPS, or at least 5 years of strategic buyer experience
- Experience in purchasing indirect goods and services, ideally services, site services, maintenance, and HR
- Experience using SAP
- Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills
- The ability to build relationships, influence, and gain cooperation across all regions
- A valid UK driving licence

This role is well-suited for experienced purchasing professionals, including Indirect Buyers, Category Managers, Purchasing Team Leaders, and Procurement Specialists.
