Theatre Practitioner Role Overview
Optical Express, the UK and Ireland's leading private provider of laser eye, premium intraocular lens and cataract surgery, is recruiting for a Theatre Practitioner to join our busy surgery team in Cardiff.
As a Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering world-class patient care and contributing to the success of our patients' visual outcomes. Our state-of-the-art treatment centre in Cardiff provides a dynamic and challenging environment for experienced Theatre Practitioners looking for a new challenge or those early in their career seeking to make their mark in the ophthalmic industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Laser Vision Correction – Scrub
- Intraocular Lens (Cataract) – Scrub
- Anaesthetic assistant
- Pre-operative assessments
- Undertake pre-screening diagnostic duties
- Discharge patients with after-care advice and medications
- Medicines management
Requirements
Candidates must be NMC or HCPC registered with previous Theatre or scrub experience. We offer a competitive industry leading salary, no night shifts, and no on-call duties. Our benefits package includes 29 days' annual leave, paid professional fees, indemnity coverage, and free eye tests.
