Veterinary Nursing Team Lead Opportunity in Surrey

We are seeking a seasoned Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our dynamic team at our busy, well-established hospital located in the beautiful North Downs area. Our practice boasts a long history of providing exceptional patient and client care to our local community.
About Us
We have a fantastic nursing and support team that includes qualified nurses, student nurses, and a dedicated receptionist. We pride ourselves on being feline friendly, having been awarded the Gold Standard Cat-Friendly Clinic Award from the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM). To support this, our practice features:
- Dedicated cat and dog waiting rooms for a stress-free experience.
- Separate cat and dog wards to ensure the best possible care.
- Separate consult rooms and isolation areas for added convenience.
We have two partners leading our team:
- The first partner has a certificate in Small Animal Surgery with expertise in all aspects of surgery including soft tissue and orthopaedics, radiography, analgia, and rehabilitation following musculoskeletal disorders.
- The second partner is currently working towards a certificate in Internal Medicine and has many years of experience with interests in medicine, ultrasonography, and endoscopy.
We are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including:
- A dental suite with dental x-ray for thorough examinations.
- Full in-house lab with Idexx analysers for quick and accurate results.
- Endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment for minimally invasive procedures.
- Rhinoscopy for expert nasal care.
- Digital x-ray and ultrasound for comprehensive imaging.
In this role, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team to drive excellence.
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients by exceeding their expectations.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activities to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead, manage, and promote nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries to optimize efficiency.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team to maintain smooth workflows.
- Dispense and check medication to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Implement and comply with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards to maintain the highest level of quality.
- Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes to drive growth.
- Engage, coach, and develop your team to reach their full potential.
