Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Bognor Regis. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing products from concept to production, with a focus on R&D and prototyping.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop products using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, and Creo
  • Manage the product portfolio, sustain documentation, and drive continuous development
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers and be involved in final assembly of products
  • Update 3D models and drawings, and input parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
  • Check drawings for sign off and work in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar Mechanical Engineering position
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a positive and energetic attitude
  • Degree/HNC/HND/BTEC/NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including sheet metal, fabrication, welded parts, and machining
  • Proficient using 3D CAD software and proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior team members
