A leading manufacturer in Worcester is seeking a skilled Finance Assistant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

Job Description

This is an office-based position involving a wide range of responsibilities, including receiving and reviewing invoices, coding and posting them to ledgers, reconciling accounts payable transactions, and maintaining supplier account records.

Main Responsibilities
  • Validate invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coding and posting invoices to ledgers efficiently.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions, addressing discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate supplier account records and update them regularly.
  • Manage accounts receivable by issuing invoices and following up on overdue payments effectively.
  • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies or issues professionally.
  • Keep customer account information current and accurate at all times.
  • Handle employee expense claims, adhering to company policies strictly.
  • Support payroll processing as needed, maintaining confidentiality and efficiency.
  • Supply documentation and information for internal and external audits as required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages and Sage 50 is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration.
