We are looking for a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team as a Medical Expert for Functional Assessments. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing individuals and determining how their disabilities or conditions impact their work life.

You will draw on your clinical expertise to listen carefully to each person's medical history, perform physical examinations, and produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to decide eligibility for benefits.

As a Healthcare Professional in this role, you will meet with clients face-to-face and via telephone/video, being sensitive, compassionate, and able to ask the right questions while upholding best practice standards.

With a competitive salary of £37,500 - £43,000 per annum, plus a quality-related bonus of up to 10%, you will have opportunities for professional development, including four days of dedicated CPD per year and access to a comprehensive training programme.

About You

  • An NMC Level 1 Registered Adult Nurse with a minimum of 12 months broad-based clinical post-registration experience within the past 5 years.
  • Experience of working with adults in a range of clinical situations. Surgical, Medical, A & E, Community and Practice Nursing with a broad-based experience.
  • NMC-registered with Continuous Professional Development on your CV.
  • IT skills and experience of using a range of software.
  • Self-aware and focused on professional development.
  • Motivated to contribute to quality customer service, demonstrating empathy, respect and sensitivity in assessment delivery.
