Join Our Mission to Prevent Homelessness

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Regional Homelessness Prevention Champion. As a champion, you will play a vital role in tackling homelessness in your local community, working closely with families, landlords, and letting agents to prevent evictions and provide safe, secure housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support families facing homelessness, negotiating with local councils to secure crucial one-time shortfall payments to cover rent increases.
  • Work with landlords and letting agents to identify and address potential homelessness issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, housing associations, and community groups.
  • Provide training and guidance to new champions, ensuring a consistent and high-quality service.

Requirements:

  • No prior experience necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Working knowledge of Part 6 and 7 of the Housing Act 2017, the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, and relevant case laws.
  • Expertise in Universal Credit, Housing Benefit, and Discretionary Housing Payments systems.
  • Able to commit to working as a Regional Champion on a full-time or part-time basis.
