Job Title: Welder Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at Shorterm Group. As a Welder Specialist, you will be responsible for welding assemblies to a high level of quality. You will be able to read and understand technical drawings and specification sheets and be able to identify weld symbols. You will also be responsible for carrying out precision measurements and accurately marking out. You must be able to select the correct materials and be skilled in cutting materials by burning, disc cutting or by machine.

Key Responsibilities:

* Following technical drawings and specification sheets
* MIG welding to a high standard
* Responsibility for your own PPE and welding equipment
* Must be able to work individually or as part of a team to meet production targets
* Following clear instructions from team members and senior colleagues
* Adherence to health and safety rules and regulations
* Maintaining production area housekeeping
* Minimize waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently
* Always Maintaining a safe working environment

Requirements:

* Hands on manufacturing experience ideally in commercial vehicle bodywork or trailer manufacturing
* High quality assembly experience of specified materials such as MIG welding, mild steel, 3mm - 20mm
* Demonstrate skillset using various hand tools
* Reading and working from drawings
* Ability to ensure production target output and quality is maintained
