About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Full-Time Outdoor/Forest Teacher. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and experiential learning opportunities that inspire and empower students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver outdoor learning sessions, forest school activities, and adventurous experiences that promote curiosity, creativity, and teamwork.
  • Integrate outdoor education into the curriculum across all age groups, from Reception to Year 8, to enhance learning and personal development.
  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to take risks, challenge themselves, and develop essential life skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design cross-curricular projects and thematic units that incorporate outdoor learning principles.
  • Evaluate the impact of outdoor education initiatives and provide feedback to inform future planning and development.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant experience teaching across the preparatory age range, from Reception to Year 8.
  • A passion for outdoor education and a strong understanding of forest school principles, outdoor learning pedagogy, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Creativity, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace new challenges and experiences.
  • A commitment to promoting the holistic development of every student and fostering a love for learning.
