Job Title: Procurement Officer

Job Reference: 24/CSG/09

Main Purpose of Job: To provide support to the Procurement Manager in achieving the strategic and operational procurement objectives of the Council.

  • Provide procurement support, advise, guidance, and training to staff in line with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the management of the eProcurement systems and databases.
  • Approve requisitions in line with Council-approved procurement limits and raise requisitions for centrally required purchases.
  • Support Council staff in seeking quotations from the supply base in line with the Council's Request for Quotation processes.
  • Assist with the management of the Council's Tender processes in line with the Council's procurement plan.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Procurement Support
  • Provide procurement support to staff in line with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the management of the eProcurement systems and databases.
Tender Management
  • Assist with the management of the Council's Tender processes in line with the Council's procurement plan.
  • Support Council staff in seeking quotations from the supply base in line with the Council's Request for Quotation processes.

General: Comply fully with all Health and Safety at Work legislation in accordance with the Council's Health and Safety at Work policy and all associated procedures and guidance.
