We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in St Neots. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to develop their skills and independence.
Job Overview
This is a part-time opportunity with flexible hours based on availability. You will work closely with our team to provide person-centered care and support to our service users.
You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, and helping individuals to develop their daily living skills.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
We offer a competitive salary of £10.50 per hour (based on 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays) and a range of benefits, including ongoing training and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals with learning disabilities.
- Help individuals to develop their daily living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and time management.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure person-centered care and support.
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities (desired)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities
