Podiatrist Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Podiatrist to join our Bexley Podiatry Team. As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex foot conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and treatment to patients with high-risk foot conditions, including wound care and nail surgery.
• Work autonomously, developing and agreeing treatment plans with clients, with support from senior staff.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including discharge plans, to improve foot pathology and patient outcomes.
• Assess clients at every visit and refer to specialist services as appropriate.
• Prescribe and manufacture orthoses, insoles, and shoe adaptations as required.
• Participate in specialist teams and rotate through different teams to update clinical skills and knowledge.
• Work in patient homes and other environments with exposure to bodily fluids.
• Be responsible for the protection of health and wellbeing of all clients.

Requirements

• Previous experience in high-risk and wound care.
• Minimum of 12 months as a Band 5 Podiatrist.
• Prior Band 6 Podiatrist experience desirable.
• Evidence of recent and ongoing CPD in relevant field.
