Overview

You will be responsible for administering a portfolio of occupational pension schemes as a highly organized and detail-oriented individual. This could include a combination of Defined Benefit (DB), Defined Contribution (DC), and Hybrid pensions. You will ensure that all tasks and calculations are carried out accurately and promptly.

Your key responsibilities will include allocating cases, performing and checking both automated and manual calculations. Additionally, you will draft and check correspondence and reports, manage pensioner payrolls, and support the Client Executive team. You will also supervise and train up to two pensions administrators.

About Your Impact
  • You will carry out and check pension administration tasks and calculations accurately, in a timely manner, and in accordance with internal processes, company policies, and governing regulations.
  • You will manage your workload, considering the time required for all cases to be peer-reviewed.
  • You will liaise with scheme members through various channels, including email, letter, or telephone.
  • You will prepare and check member correspondence and client reports, managing cashflow, investments/disinvestments, and invoices.
  • You will take care of or check non-standard client/member queries.
  • You will collaborate with team members and build relationships with supporting teams.
  • You will provide support and training to team members and assist the Team Leader as the need arises.
  • You will engage and be visible with team members and the Team Leader throughout the day.
  • You will assist the Client Executive team where necessary and attend client meetings or new business pitches if required.
About You
  • You should have at least 3 years of experience in defined benefit/defined contribution pension scheme administration.
  • Achieved or studying towards the Pension Management Institute's CPC qualification is desirable.
  • You should possess analytical skills with a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • You should be able to process, collect, and input data accurately.
  • You should be able to apply pensions knowledge and experience when peer reviewing cases, ensuring accurate and relevant information is provided to scheme members.
  • You should have strong prioritization skills to meet deadlines and disclosure requirements.
  • You should possess excellent communication skills to answer queries by telephone, letter, and email, and provide effective feedback to the team on casework.
  • You should be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £38,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. On top of this, great teams and exciting career opportunities await you. We also offer a wide range of benefits, including:
