Medicines Reconciliation and Dispensing Expert

Our pharmacy department is a friendly and progressive team that values innovation and excellence. We are currently seeking a highly skilled pharmacy technician to join our team as a medication management professional.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that medication is supplied in accordance with the Drug and Therapeutics committee. You will also be expected to assist with duties relevant to the post, including participating in the dispensary rota and assisting in the training of junior staff.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- To ensure that special orders are processed.
- To ensure that all activities carried out in the dispensary follow departmental Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs), and to assist in the maintenance of Pharmacy SOPs.
- To be an Accredited Checking Technician within the department, performing final accuracy checks on prescriptions and orders that have previously been clinically checked by a Pharmacist in accordance with local procedures.
The estimated salary for this position is £31,469 to £38,308 per annum. Our trust offers a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements and opportunities for career development.
A BTEC in Pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent is preferred, and previous pharmacy experience is desirable. Please note that this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and a Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required as part of the recruitment process.
