Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Fire Door Assessor and Estimator to inspect fire doors and compartmentation within residential and commercial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying points for correction, writing advisory actions, and managing appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect fire doors and compartmentation to identify areas for improvement
  • Write advisory actions for joiners and fire stoppers to carry out
  • Manage appointments with project coordinators
  • Provide technical advice to the project delivery team
  • Conduct post-work inspections and sign-offs
  • Assist the operations manager as needed
  • Procure materials and equipment for works
  • Complete work sheets and quotes via our mobile app
Requirements
  • Good technical knowledge of fire doors and compartmentation/fire stopping
  • Experience working within a team
  • Ability to liaise and report to clients and tenants
  • Experience surveying fire doors and fire stopping
  • NVQ or equivalent in carpentry or FDIS or equivalent in fire doors
  • Good diary and organisation skills
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the fire door industry
  • Thorough and process-driven approach
  • Hardworking and reliable work ethic
  • Previous experience in maintenance and building environments
  • Previous use of handheld technology and smartphone
  • HSE understanding
  • Good communication skills and customer service
  • FDIS qualifications (favored)
Working Hours and Salary

Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 17:00 with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break. Salary: £44k - £52k per annum.
