Senior Quantity Surveyor Housing Development

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Housing Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Preston, UK. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality housing projects, managing the commercial aspects of the projects from initial estimates to final accounts.
Main Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates for housing projects.
- Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings.
- Manage variations and claims associated with housing development projects.
- Prepare and submit interim and final accounts for clients.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to housing construction.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:
Required Skills and Qualifications:- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience in quantity surveying within the social housing sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Asite).
