About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Housing Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Preston, UK. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality housing projects, managing the commercial aspects of the projects from initial estimates to final accounts.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates for housing projects.
  • Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings.
  • Manage variations and claims associated with housing development projects.
  • Prepare and submit interim and final accounts for clients.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to housing construction.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying within the social housing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Asite).
Estimated Salary Range: £50,000 - £65,000 per year.
