Role Description:

We are seeking a Communications, PR & Marketing Officer to join Allstar Technologies as a self-employed consultant. The successful candidate will have experience in developing and executing communication strategies and campaigns, preferably within the non-profit sector or arts and cultural organisations.

In this role, you will work closely with our CEO to enhance our visibility, communicate our impact, and expand our reach through strategic communication, public relations, and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to convey our mission, values, and impact to diverse stakeholders, including participants, funders, partners, and the wider community.
  2. Coordinate the planning, creation, and distribution of engaging content across various channels, including social media, website, press releases, and marketing materials, to raise awareness and promote our community music initiatives.
  3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and community partners to secure media coverage, interviews, and features that highlight our work and amplify our message.
  4. Align messaging and storytelling efforts with fundraising goals and initiatives by collaborating with the Funding & Development Officer and Comms & Marketing Volunteer.
  5. Monitor and analyze communication and marketing metrics to assess effectiveness and inform strategic decision-making.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent professional training or experience.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing communication, public relations, and marketing strategies and campaigns, preferably within the non-profit sector or arts and cultural organisations.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives, press releases, articles, and marketing materials.
  • Proficiency in using various communication and marketing tools and platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
