Yard Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Yard Operative to join our team in Laleham. As a Yard Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and cleanliness of our yard, ensuring the smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planting and maintenance of our troughs, hanging baskets, and greenhouse.
  • Have complete ownership of stock control and storage.
  • Assist with the loading of vehicles, using forklift trucks and tractors, and completing relevant paperwork.
  • Ensure waste removal and skips are used correctly.
Requirements:
  • Safety and legal compliance are a must. We welcome applications from people with a good safety record.
  • As this is a physically demanding job, you will be required to lift and carry on a daily basis.
  • Experience within the horticulture industry or as a supervisor/team leader will be beneficial.
  • Preferred qualifications are FLT, PA1/6, and Lantra.
