About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Planning Adviser to join our team in the London & South East region. As a key member of our internal consultancy, you will provide professional planning advice and support to colleagues and National Trust places throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert planning advice and support to colleagues and National Trust places
  • Work with planners across the Trust to develop and implement planning strategies
  • Monitor and respond to external planning applications and consultations
  • Engage with officers at local planning authorities and statutory consultees

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable about the legislative background to planning and local government
  • Experienced in analysing, resolving and preparing positions and advice on planning issues
  • Qualified planner with a Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)-accredited degree or working towards chartered RTPI membership
  • Effective communicator with good working relationships and organisational skills
