Director of IT Service Delivery

We are seeking an experienced Director of IT Service Delivery to join our IT Operations and Services area at Oxford Nanopore Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing operational excellence for IAM and ensuring that our customers, both within Oxford and across our global locations, receive exceptional service.
Oxford Nanopore Technologies is a leading company in the field of nanopore sequencing, with a strong presence in the UK, US, APAC, and Europe. Our management team, led by CEO Dr Gordon Sanghera, has a proven track record of delivering innovative technologies to the market.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement the IT service delivery strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business plan and IT strategy.
- Lead the Service Delivery team and 3rd parties to deliver customer-focused, cost-effective business-as-usual support.
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents, root cause analysis of problems, and implementation of changes to correct deficiencies in the current environment.
- Establish and maintain governance processes with key suppliers and regular service reviews to ensure SLAs are met.
- Drive ongoing review and improvement of service delivery, ensuring a continuous improvement framework is in place.
- Extensive experience in leading within a Service Delivery and ITIL environment, with a strong understanding of ITIL service management qualifications.
- Previous experience of leading a Service desk and End-User computing teams across multiple locations and time zones.
- Commercially astute and strong business acumen, with experience in producing business cases and managing financial budgets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with non-technical staff over technical issues.
- Strong proven management skills, with the ability to lead and influence teams.
