Job Title: NI Fitter

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled NI Fitter to join our team in Coventry. The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring and setting out lift/escalator installations in accordance with approved procedures. They will also ensure compliance with statutory regulations and organisational safety.

Key Responsibilities:
Install lift/escalator well and ancillary equipment in accordance with approved procedures
Install traction equipment in accordance with approved procedures
Install lift ropes and adjust in accordance with approved procedures
Install lift doors and frames in accordance with approved procedures
Check and set the lift/escalator installation in accordance with approved procedures
Carry out site surveys
Keep the supervisor informed regarding the progress of work, hours spent, and any non-compliance
Stay in communication with the customer and the supervisor to ensure the satisfaction of the customer needs

Requirements:
Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator Installation or equivalent
Possession of a relevant/valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card
More advanced product and installation knowledge/experience
Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills
The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
The ability to work independently with a flexible approach
Good communication skills at different levels (Client/Installation Managers/SAIS Inspectors)
Good punctuality
Manual dexterity - Requires the use of hands, arms, and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate various hand and power tools and to record written information
Full UK driving license

Working Environment:
Employees are required to attend all relevant training sessions
Employees are required to carry out all works in accordance with the Company's Quality Corporate policy
All employees are required to work in accordance with the Company's Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements and Schindler Group safety requirements, as well as setting a personal example of safe behaviour
Employees will be required to contribute to the Company safety objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring the work environment and reporting any hazards or near misses
