Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic clinical/counselling psychologist to join our team in Older Adult Clinical Psychology Services. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical, supervisory, and leadership skills in a supportive and progressive environment.

About the Role

The post holder will work with our Older Adult Community Mental Health teams and Memory Assessment service in North Powys, providing highly specialised psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based therapies to older people and families. You will also provide specialist psychological consultation and clinical supervision to colleagues to support them in developing their knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological services to older people in primary or secondary mental health settings
  • Conduct neuropsychological assessments, formulation, and rehabilitation planning
  • Develop and implement evidence-based therapies for complex difficulties
  • Provide consultation and clinical supervision to colleagues
Person Specification

We are looking for a postgraduate doctorate in clinical/counselling psychology, with HCPC registration and experience of working with older people. You should have knowledge of ethical and professional frameworks, as well as the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
