About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team in Manchester. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting commercial risks from a regional designated panel of broking intermediaries within Company underwriting authority levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite new business profitably, accurately, and in line with established underwriting practice.
  • Work collaboratively with external Insurer and Re-Insurer partners in delivering underwriting solutions to broking intermediaries.
  • Assist in the regional MGA business planning process and maintain business relationships with intermediaries.
  • Issue quotations, policy documentation, and endorsements in a timely and professional manner.
  • Comply with Company Guidelines, Treating Customers Fairly/Contract Certainty Guidelines, and maintain compliance with UK or International statutory or regulatory obligations.
