About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Public Sector Administration Assistant to join our team at Brook Street. This is a temporary role with a good chance of extension, providing an opportunity to gain valuable experience working within the Public Sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.
  • Carry out general administration duties, including data inputting and operating office equipment.
  • Support the Judiciary with hearings using Cloud Video Platform, MS Teams, and other video/audio platforms.
  • Produce court orders using Courts bespoke systems and deal with correspondence.
  • E nsure everyone has the correct papers needed/distributing these where necessary.
  • Undertake some telephone work as required.
  • Complete documents, including standard letters, forms, applications, orders, records, registers, and statistics.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in an administration role (preferable).
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Able to provide 3 years' worth of references and pass a basic DBS check.

The estimated salary for this position is £27,000-£31,000 per annum, depending on experience. Standard hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. If selected, candidates must have an in-date and valid passport and undergo security and reference checks.
