At Ground Control, we're seeking a highly skilled Lead Field Engineer Senior Authorised Person to lead and manage our tree cutting electrical provision team within the UK Power Networks operational area. As the lead, you'll be responsible for delivering tree cutting related power outages, as well as overseeing a small team of Subcontract SAPs.

The successful candidate will ensure work is completed to the highest possible standards in terms of safety, environment, quality, operational excellence, and value to Ground Control and its clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Efficient planning and delivery of individual and team assigned tree cutting power outages.
  • Supporting the delivery of the overall tree cutting power outage programme.
  • Leading and managing the electrical provision team to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of programmes of work, in line with contractual commitments.
  • Assisting in the management of budgets related to the electrical provision.

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Hold a Senior Authorised Person designation with Field Control as defined by the UK Power Networks Distribution Safety Rules.
  • Hold a HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Have a broad understanding of UK Power Networks electrical shutdown provision processes, rules, and regulations.
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
